Coenurus gaigeri Cyst in the thigh of a goat and its successful management

Abstract: A 10 month old male goat  was presented to kalika vet clinic, Bharatpur-17, Chitwan ,Nepal with the history of swelling in the left hind leg on the outer aspect of thigh region.
Key word: Coenurus gaigeri- thigh of goat, surgical management
Introduction: 
Clinical examination: 
- rectal temperature:102*F
Physical examination:
- revealed a large fluctuating fluid filled bladder with distended dimension.On aspiration clear fluid was observed and was confirmed to be a cyst.


Treatment:
- surgery was done to remove cyst after separating it from muscle attachment.
-Gauze dipped in Betadin solution was kept in surgical wound to remove dead space.
-postoperatively streptopenicillin,meloxicam,matemar225 (oxyclozanide) ,dermex and Brotone was given.
Diagnosis:
parasitological examination reveals Coenurus gaigeri cyst, intermediate stage of T.multiceps.

Diagnosis of Paramphistomes in Ruminants Through fecal examination at Teaching Hospital IAAS,TU, Rampur Chitwan,Nepal

Paramphistomes in 6 yrs buffalo (parturition one month earlier)
History:
- Decrease in water intake
- No deworming previous
- loose feces 
Diagnosis: Paramphistomes in F/E view from 10X10- microscopic
Line of Treatment:
1.Nilzan150ml (Composition: Oxyclozanide  with the combination of  Levamisole)
Sig: Orally at haust in the first hour of the day (two doses 3 days apart) 
NOTE: reported success (efficacies >90%)
2. Brotone 200ml (Virbac) - as a livertonic
Sig: 40 ml orally per day for 5 days
3.Chelated Ostovet   1litre+ Vimeral 60ml (Virbac) ; production enhancer.
Sig:Mixed both and 100ml orally once daily

-intestinal organ:yellowish
-Distented gall bladder
